One Club. One Future. One Beveren.

Football in Beveren has gone through a lot these past years. And throughout this time, one thing has remained: our supporters, our heartbeat, chanting in unison. Shoulder to shoulder. In support of our city. In support of values, and tradition. In support of our Lions: “Komaan Beveren”!

From my first days at the Freethiel, fans, sponsors, employees, ex-players and trainers, and everyone with a yellow-blue heart have asked me one thing: “If you can, bring back the name. Let the club reconnect with its historic DNA, a glorious past that made Beveren resonate far beyond our national borders.”

That is why today, the club and I have reached out to our neighbors at Yellow Blue Supporterskring Beveren to discuss the potential of ending a fight that has torn Beveren in two clubs. I would like for both our organizations to speak openly and constructively about healing the wounds of a decade ago.

I would like to discuss the possibility for our club to play as KSK Beveren at the Freethiel, under the stamnummer 2300, with the logo and colors of the club rooted in the values and traditions of our city and our community. A Beveren that we can all be proud of, not just because of the great adventures of the past, but also because of the beautiful stories ahead of us with our fans.

I hope this is the first of many steps towards writing the next chapter of football in Beveren.

Komaan Beveren,

Antoine Gobin
